1.0.0 Prepatch is now LIVE!

Hi everyone!

It's been a long time without an update, but it's finally here!

Improved Performance

This update meant having to dig deep into the foundation of the game and rewiring things that lead to the rewiring of other things in a long chain of ultimately unthreading everything I've been doing since I first started developing the game, and the good thing about this is that aside from a few hiccups in how things were reconnected, the game is in a fantastic state now, void of any bad decisions in the past!

I will continue to fix bugs for the next week or so, probably, and then I will get working on a proper content update, which will add some of the items that have been teased in the previous dev logs!

Besides making substantial improvements to the code and data structure, user and game data have also been moved into separate databases, and game data is now located on a server that is located much closer to the game servers, making numerous operations a lot faster!

Improved Image Rendering

Technical improvements have also been made to image rendering, and the game now supports screens up to 4K without it having a negative impact on players on smaller screens. A new media system has been created that handles more than 30,000 image files on the server, which are cached versions of game assets with different sample sizes and colors. The system hands the most optimal size variant of any asset to each player, based on their device, to create the best visual experience and optimize bandwidth and memory usage and devices with smaller screens.

Further improvements have also been made to how items are colored, so all in all, it's an update that has made the game technically prepared for a release on Steam, in terms of visual fidelity, speed, and being able to handle a potential enormous amount of players!

New Graphics

The last thing I would like to highlight, are the many new and improved assets for numerous items in the game, including talismans, candies, dyes, charms, mushrooms, and more!


A new candy was also added that gives sheep traits! —And many more candies have already been drawn for future polymorph forms! 


More graphics have been attached to the post, and these are just the ones that are in the game right now! Many more have already been prepared for new items that will go out in updates in the near future!

And talking about the future of the game, I will be making a separate Dev Log post after this post, where I will tell you about more things to come!
