Upcoming changes to PvP combat
Added 2022-02-14 21:50:20 +0000 UTCHi everyone!
As part of the next update, I've been working on redesigning and improving the PvP combat experience in the game!
I've created a document with my collective thoughts on what I want to change, which you can find here
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1AIwEkaYVE6tWspNau_3zTeIZ3fmogqXdgqRAfq2wlRk/edit#heading=h.35bla4p863lt
Here are some highlights:
- Players will be able to regain spell actions during encounters outside the dorms!
- Spell actions will be much more useful and powerful PvP
- Spells can no longer miss
- It will be much more convenient and less costly to recover from spell effects
- Encounters will be shorter
There are also plans to improve conjuration spells, but it may be necessary to implement those later. That said, the plans are to make conjuration spells that change players' outfits unpredictable on impact, according to a theme, similar to polymorph spells. You will still be able to conjure specific items, but the other method might be more convenient during combat because you just cast the spell and it does its thing. There are also plans to make it possible to hex defeated opponent's clothes. This won't help you during combat, but it will allow you to put insult to injury!
Please let me know what you think about the changes ๐ค
Cheers,
Tinon

In a somewhat similar vein to the hexing of opposing items, would there be any thoughts on more directly exchanging some items and equipping others to opposing characters? I've admittedly had a cursed item I've been itching to hit one of my submissive friends with, but the only way they get it is if by sheer luck after I drop it.

2022-02-15 15:10:17 +0000 UTCHexes you inflict on others will be a conjuration effect foremost, so you will be able to remove it just like any other conjuration effect to restore the item, though I expect it will be difficult to remove for the first 15 minutes after the encounter ends ๐
