Asako Temauri is a polynesian-japanese survivor of the Ring of Fire catastrophe in sector Pacifica. This catastrophic event destroyed 60% of the Asian east coast, forcing Asako to flee to the Megacity Arriaka and start a new life. She found work as a bartender at Anthea Volaxis' bar, and through hard work and determination, eventually managed to take over the business.
Asako is a charitable and hardworking woman, always striving to build a safe and secure future for herself. She is intelligent and resourceful, and has even developed her own formula for a self-made new energy drink. In her free time, Asako enjoys going to the gym and reading.
Asako is good friends with Geena Faulkner, and the two women share a close bond. Asako is the opposite of Geena in many ways - where Geena is a sceptic, Asako can sometimes be gullible. However, this trait does not diminish her intelligence or determination. The bar owner is also attracted to Zandra Bellerose, Geena's girlfriend when they met in her bar in the Arcology Gilgamesh.
