[TUTORIAL] Optimizing 3d scans

Everybody is capable of applying a decimate modifier to a 3d scan, but I see almost nobody taking care of the texture being destroyed in the process.

So in this tutorial I show you how to transfer the textures from a very high poly object to a low poly version after a decimation.

Its the same thing. Just delete all materials from the low poly, make a new one with the new image texture and the bake will transfer all in 1 hit all colors from the various materials into that 1 single texture!

Thank you very much Raffo this works well with an object that has 1 Material. What do we do when we have several? Ex: When you download a 3D model, it always contains several Textures.

mmm I also made a NERF test in the past days using Luma AI, but I got a mesh with a unique material when I exported to glft format

Raffo, please, is there any easy way to merge multiple materials into one? I have been playing with NERF (Luma AI) recently and it exports the mash with multiple materials...
