Adding more light.
Added 2024-09-09 16:13:30 +0000 UTCWith the Liche Priest Bone Dragon project complete, it’s time to dive back into the underhive and shed a bit more light on the Greyseer. Giving us a look at the broken bell underfoot, a peek at the lower half of his staff, and the scuttling rats below.
Painting with such a desaturated palette creates a delicate balance to generate contrast through the various elements of the piece, but to remain harmonious in its atmosphere. Add the pressures of the light rays that are in continuous thought, and I have what is a sleeper of challenging model.
In this week's video, I will be going over the painting process of the new elements and further go into the colour palette used to show how I’m using my existing palette to generate new tones. As well as sharing my creative notes on what I’m thinking moving forward, and possible angles of attack that will lead to the backdrop painting.
As well to reward myself for finishing that dragon, I’ve also snuck in a day of hobby to myself and finished another 6 jet bikes for my White Scars! I only had time to click a simple phone pic, but I can’t wait to get out my camera and give them a proper photoshoot.
