Beta: Unlock Revamp, ongoing Development

Attached, you will find the most recent Chrome Extension and Companion module. If you could install both and test-drive them, that would be very neat. Please notice the new and amazing looking Popup and Options page in the Chrome Extension, which will guide you through an authorization dialog with Patreon in order to unlock the extension's mode from "Basic" to "Patreon" (see below).

• Basic mode unlocks the import of all monsters covered by the Basic Rules, or SRD.
• Patreon mode unlocks this feature for every other monster, from additionally licensed sourcebooks and homebrew sources, too

This means, that a rather large portion of the Dungeons & Dragons content will be available for everyone using the amazing toolset you helped to create and maintain:

And here is a big thank you for all your support in the last couple of months: You are not only supporting me personally, but loads of people that can't afford to even pay 5$ per month for such a wonderful hobby. My main goal was always to make as much of my toolset available for everyone and now we are taking the next step. 

What will be changed in the near future:

• The Chrome extension will be made available on the Chrome Webstore. This means that release cycles will becoming a tad slower because of an approval process that has to be run for every update of the extension. This might be a nuissance, but in the long run, I do think it's the best way to move forward
• The repositories for the Foundry modules will be becoming public, so you will have access to the issue tracker and report issues by yourself. This makes the whole development way more transparent and feasible

A rather larger surprise is still behind a thick curtain, but I think you will love it, too. More soon (tm)!

How you can help

I will update this posts while your feedback trickles in. Please use the Discord channel I created yesterday:

to report any findings. The focus on this early stage is: Does the unlocking of your pledge works effortlessly and stable and less on the importing functionality of the module per se. I would love to have this feature stabilized when I first upload the extension to the web store since approval takes around a week.

Q: Do I need to remove/ uninstall the old dndbeyond module and Chrome Extension?
A: Yes, just to make sure that nothing old interferes. We will be switching to a stable updating process very soon, and I am grateful that some of you will test this for the broad masses
