Morvenn Vahl - Post project theory and references

In this latest tutorial I thought I would give my curriculum of tutorial videos a little change and do a more narrative change in delivering a post project talk on this latest piece of Morvenn Vahl, a sister of battle miniature from Games Workshop. In here I wanted to touch base and expand on lighting and volumetric painting theory which has been a focal point in a lot of my recent works this year. As well demonstrating a workflow in how I use references such as a picture of another work to study, understand and sample colours the artist uses to better replicate the finish into my own works.

And as promised here is the paint list I used in the miniature so that you may wish to replicate any areas or the entire miniature if you so please! Remember there is no shame in copying other works either on the same sculpt or another subject. Just remember to never state it as an original piece, we can always use it for acedemic purposes! Copying is a great and essential tool to really understand how things works and will fulfill leaps n bounds compared to if we just watch or read about it.
