Last WiP shots of the Lion before his base
Added 2023-07-28 05:07:26 +0000 UTCWith the sword finally complete, here is the last shots of the lion before his base is complete and it all coming together. Honestly the sword on this model isn't the real drawing point to it and nor is the sculpt really asking more to be done. I think with enough time (if the project allowed for it, or for a Golden Daemon project), a freehand engraved design would have been really cool. But this idea may have to be saved for another blade, and probably something more curved and elegant. But with all that I think with the right angle I've placed it and the flat side reflecting the light and complimenting the look. It's just the base left that will sell the whole narrative of the piece and I can close the painting happy:)
