Progress Report

Season 4: 29k

Reminder that Star Jumper posts will come monthly from this point on.

Bonus Chapter: Door Number 2  goes live for Patrons on Friday, Halloween. It fills in the last of the gaps left in this chapter, as explained in the Behind the Scenes.

This is also a Meteor Freak week. So there will be a double posting on Friday. Going forward, since Meteor Freak and Star Jumper will both be monthly, I'll need to adjust one of their release dates so they're not out on the same week, likely pushing Star Jumper's update to mid-month. I'm not sure if I'll post mid-Nov or Dec, as we're in the gap between seasons. I might need the extra two weeks, since I only have one fully completed episode, and we'll be closing in on the holidays.

This is a deep question. Its good you brought it to my attention, because I would've overlooked it. Its minor, because those episodes happen way out, but Jetal's death falls into the timeframe I had planned for the next season. But.... I shifted around a few episodes, and one of the bigger ones I had planned at a different point was Worst Case Scenario. In this linked timeline Jetal's death happens after VOY: Displaced and around the time of TNG: Elementary Dear Data. The easiest solution would be to skip the event entirely and skip the doc's episode. While I do like that one, there wouldn't be much for Tyson to do. Ballard is too far out to worry about. But it would be cool to feature her, or both of them doing something instead of being one-shot write-offs.

Since the door is there would that help prevent the death of Ahni Jetal and prevent the events of latent image since her death happens in star date 50979 between events of worst case scenario and scorpion and Lyndsay Ballard or would she still die since she died before they could get here back to voyager and kobali are nice if you get over them reviving your dead

Thanks for the update!

The chapter release on Friday will provide the context your missing about the System. The Medical Bay cannot remove or replace cybernetics on its own. However the Nano-Medical Lab can handle and remove Borg Nanoprobes safely. Vicky or the Doctor would need to remove the implants and then the bay could be used to heal her. At least, thats the literal interpretation of the Jumpchain perk. I wouldn't expect to see Seven until toward the End of next season, unless I'm getting the feeling I won't continue with Season 5 as I go along. In which case I'll hit the highlights of my favorite episodes... The Picard tie-in only goes so far as those aliens the Zhat Vash were afraid of.

Thats, interesting 🤔. The fact that Tyson's System is from outside Q control means he basically used him (Tyson) as an experimental subject ala Mengela. He's a literal living human experimental subject. Given that fact, despite Q being supposedly omnipotent, I can see how he was able to beat Q ass. The whole Borg having a Q-level "sponsor" thing is also interesting. As well as terrifying 😳 😬. I will say I'm eager to see how Tyson's medical bay works on Borg implant removal. One of the things that makes the Borg so horrific is that a lot of their replacements can't be removed. Or at least not with "current" Federation tech. That said, it'd be a shame if Seven ended up entirely human. Her character growth was one of the best things about Voyager. Not sure how I feel about trying to tie it into Picard though. Season one was a shit show. Aside from all the woke bullshit they forced into it, the fact that Picard was uploaded into an android body arguably with more potential than Data, yet CHOSE to remain decrepit as fuck while ALSO being on a mortal time of death scale? What a colossal missed opportunity to refresh the series. It was the perfect plot device to introduce a new "Picard", making way for a younger actor to play the role (since Stewart is old as fuck now), while retaining the flavor of the TNG original series. Instead, they completely shit the bed with the entire thing. Still, great job tying it all together. I can't wait to see where it goes next.
