Some Announcements for Patron Eyes Only

Greetings, Patrons.

I come bearing some announcements that are rather sensitive in nature. I request that you honor the terms of the legally binding and rather somewhat even draconian secrecy rules to which you agreed upon accepting the lengthy and intentionally obtuse Patreon terms of service.

Announcement #1:

As you may already be aware from my social media posts, Whatever Happened to Pizza at McDonald's? (The Board Game) is coming back into print in a new, slightly altered edition called The Board Game Adaptation of an Investigative Journalism Program About Fast Food Pizza. In addition to the title change, there have also been some changes to artwork and iconography deemed "copyright violating" by the publisher.

The design has been finalized, and I will be receiving the final proof quite soon. If all goes according to plan, the game will be on sale in March. Because it is printed and assembled in the United States on-demand, the cost is rather higher than I would prefer even on a wholesale level. Otherwise, I would gladly distribute a free copy to all of you. But as that is not financially viable, I will be giving away a free copy to a random Patron when it becomes available. I will also offer a discount exclusive to Patrons, though the logistics of this have yet to be sorted out.

More details on this matter coming soon.

Announcement #2:

The second title from the Pizzaply Media tabletop gaming division is already nearing the end of development. This game is called PizzaQuest, and it will be released as a printable PDF. All anyone needs to play is a printed copy, a pencil, and a standard set of roleplaying dice (or electronic dice rolling application).

All Patrons will receive a free copy of this game. Further, I would be most grateful to any volunteers who might be interested in playtesting it and providing feedback prior to release. It is a game for 1-2 players. No particular gaming skill or experience is necessary, but if you have played any tabletop games wherein you were required to "roll on tables", then you should be quite comfortable with this game.

If you would like to volunteer as a playtester, please let me know either in a private message, by replying here, or by electronically mailing pizzaatmcdonalds@gmail.com.

Announcement #3:

Perhaps in light of my recently earning a Pulit Surprise, I am being awarded an honorary degree by one of the Boston colleges (Boston College). The ceremony will be on the Boston College campus the evening of Wednesday, March 29th. This live event will be open to the public, but seating will be somewhat limited. Rest assured priority access will be granted to any Patrons who wish to go. I will provide more details as they become available, but I wanted to give my most loyal supporters advance notice so that you may make plans to attend if you would like.

I am quite humbled by this honor and sincerely hope nothing goes wrong at this event that might embarrass me in front of the live audience or anyone listening to the recording at home at a later date. I have no reason to suspect it will.

END OF ANNOUNCEMENTS.
