This one is out there but I really liked the if the moon was green idea and want to see it go a step further. What if Mars was Green and had complex civilizations begin popping up on it around the same time as Earth. POD: Around 4,000 BC Early Human Civilizations marvel at the other green planet in the sky. By the late Middle Ages Optics improve enough to confirm what has been theorized but never proven until now when an astronomer looks through a telescope and can confirm complex life exists on Mars and is almost certainly looking back at us.
