Maybe the second image is trying to say that William the Conqueror was not also the Bastard, as in he wasn’t born at all.

Maybe him just dying when he is a kid or simply the English not having to fight the Vikings first. Interesting as I can see two scenarios here. Harold Godwinson beats both of them and England remains Anglo-Saxon or Hardrada takes England which extends Danelaw and Viking rule another century maybe
