Apple Picking!
Added 2018-10-01 04:27:02 +0000 UTCHey guys! This week has been pretty great! I've been in a much better mood since I've begun working out, and I've surprisingly been doing really well on my exams and projects. I'm a little overwhelmed with Inktober starting tomorrow; I had a lot of plans on making the cutest drawings and turning them into a zine, as well as making lots of spoopy designs for stickers and pins that I would already have up in my shop, but with all the stress of this past month, I haven't been able to accomplish those goals. I'm a little bummed out since I feel like I've failed with being as productive as I had intended, but I'm trying to remember that I am taking 18 credits and that I do have a huge workload for school. If you guys think it's a good idea, do you want me to still make all the spoopy designs even if they might not arrive in time for Halloween?
Also, when it comes to Inktober, I think I should be lenient with myself because of all that I already have on my plate. I'm just hoping that I have good ideas for my drawings since that's what I struggle most with! I'm thinking that it might be fun to do OOTDs for my drawings; maybe not for all of the days, but I have some cute outfits that I'd love to draw, and that way, I can draw some full bodies and get some practice in that way.
Friday, I went to see BlacKkKlansman with one of my best friends here, and I really enjoyed it. It had such a heavy theme and it was so upsetting to listen to all the horrible language, especially coming from a background in which racism isn't even a thing, but they balanced it well with humor. It was a super artistic movie so I'd recommend it if you've wanted to watch it (but whoooo dollar theater for the win! I'm planning on making Fridays movie nights with my friend). And last thing about my week was that yesterday, I went apple picking with my hall and grabbed some cider as well as a bunch of super delicious apples. Other than that, lots of homework and projects and quizzes, as well as working out and having a friend show me how he does CrossFit. I'm very happy that I've kept a consistent workout schedule for the past two weeks and that I even look forward to it now. It's been amazing in helping me with stress and emotions.
Are you guys doing Inktober? Do you have any themes or goals for this month? If not, let me know your thoughts on Halloween themed stickers and pins!

Aww Sam you're so sweet to me! Ahhh that's insane, I can't imagine the workload ooooff. I'm glad you like seeing some of my non-figurative work, so I'll definitely keep working on it! I've been trying to learn more about still life drawing, as well as design, so I've been taking a small break from portraiture.
2018-10-09 04:36:37 +0000 UTCAhhhhh, so late to reply and will try to be concise because I talk too freaking much. Taking time making designs would be great, don't feel the need to rush! 18 credits is sooooo much. I'm in a similar busy boat at grad school (for VFX) where I get like 5 new assignments due each week so I totally get it! What even is online social media? For I have forgotten it's existence at this point. This drawing thing? I've never heard of it. >> Joke's aside, spooky designs are always welcome, but I'm also in love with spooky aesthetic so as I said before, I'm biased. Your ideas for Inktober are great too! I've seen you already started and I do love variety. e.g. You did a sketch of your pencil sharpener the other day but you did it so beautifuly and it also even showed some of your technique when you draw outside of drawing girls, which is cool to see imo. There's more to your drawing technique and skill than what we usually see! So even though the subject matter is different, I love it. As for thoughts of stickers and pins... I'm unsure. I'm bad with ideas. For colour palettes however, I do think of general ones that could work: orange, black; orange, yellow, black; black, purple, lighter purple; purple, orange, black; monochromatic black/grey; black and red. If that helps with something at all? I'm sure what you'll make will be amazing! Your patreon rewards I get each month are like Christmas to me and it's exciting and makes me so happy either way. I'm not able to receive them as early anymore because I live away from my parents' house where they're shipped so I only get them when I can visit later in the month, but that makes me even more excited.

2018-10-01 04:34:24 +0000 UTCThis will be my third year in a row of participating in inktober. I usually follow Jake Parker’s list of prompts, but there are a bunch of artist making their own list, so I may pick and choose each day.
