The Quietest Room on Earth
Added 2024-01-26 11:15:00 +0000 UTCWhen I was working on this short I watched some videos of the anechoic chamber to get an idea of what it’s like inside. Here’s one that I really enjoyed. There’s an excellent demonstration of a man clapping while they slowly close the door of the chamber – just how dramatically the sound changes is quite startling. Oh, and it also features someone staying in the chamber for almost an hour… and seemingly finding it rather peaceful. I'm not sure I’d fare quite so well in there…

That's one of the bigger hotel fires I've had on my list for a while, but haven't covered yet. Will definitely need to get around to it in 2024!

2024-01-29 15:01:58 +0000 UTCI can often hear my heartbeat and the sound of blood moving in my ears at night, so something I am familiar with and unbothered by. Also, I am sadly due to health reasons a heavy breather, so I'm used to hearing my breaths too, so might be a good place for me to have a snooze. I had heard of people being freaked out by this room, so it's good to see that plenty of people also just find it relaxing.
