Super Inframan - Ultra Gaiden

Available to EVERY paid tier. I'll release this publicly in August. Enjoy.

Edit 7/18/24: I had the opportunity to issue a small patch for the video in response to a comment. A mistake so early on might be off-putting to viewers who know better, so I made a quick change ("Its original Cantonese language" => "its original language.") Catching mistakes like this is part of why these videos are available to Patrons so early, so if you spot any more potential corrections feel free to let me know.

Only just now getting around to this one! Fun note: Inframan back-flipping on clouds is a direct reference to Sun Wukong's ability to travel great distances! Before he got the Nimbus.

Matt Frank

Also for Toku/Shaw crossover there's The Oily Maniac, also starring Danny Lee, somehow he starred in 3 of the Shaws most bonkers movies. However, man in suit going around killing people aside, it's unfortunately a lot sleazier than even Peaking Man so it's kind of not as fun of a watch as one would hope, still thought I'd note it's existence.

A Voc Robot

Random note but the composer Frankie Chan was somewhat infamous for liberal use of music he didn't actually compose in movies credited to him, so I think all of the music is lifted either from various libraries or just other movies. Frankie did actually compose for the record but he just seemed to really like using premade music.

A Voc Robot

argh, I knew I was overlooking SOMETHING. Thanks for the correction!

Loved the vid! One of my personal favorite HK films, just a wild fun time. Just as an aside tho, while a Cantonese version of the film does appear to exist, the original language for the film actually appears to be Mandarin. Despite being from Hong Kong, Shaw Brothers actually had a solid majority of their films made and released in Mandarin around this particular time period.
