Marie's out for the count, but don't worry, Lee's eager to step in to make sure Double D doesn't get blue balled. I hope I got the dialogue right, it's crass, but I was trying to stay true to the Kanker's trailer park vibe.

ha, I know I ended up kinda tossing Marie under the bus s tiny bit on this one, but for a short one pager I needed a quick set up that would work and theres only so many times I can go the whole "Sure sis, you can sleep with my bf" line without it getting stale, this was more fun to my sense of humor.

A nice shot of Lee Kanker content after a while. Shame we dont have time for more, but the point of these oneshots is to infuse a bit of fresh life into options that have fallen by the wayside a bit. Hopefully we'll get more later down the line.

Welcome to February lads. Shortest month, but we are going to cram as much as we can into it.

So after the Aphrodite comic, I didn't feel totally up to jumping into another set, so i started working on the oneshots, since theyre just singles, I figured they would make good exercises before going back to the set queue. So I'll be doing: :Lee Kanker, Maddie Fenton... (checks notes) Vanessa and Ember .. fantastic.

Anyways, here's the new Poll schedule. We're back on the new character + main poll set up for February, so plan your strategies accordingly.

Office Trysts (Ms. Bellum Oneshot)

Dexter gets his own office in Town Hall. Ms. Bellum is VERY welcoming.

Tbh I first imagined this taking place in the mayors desk ha, but with so little space to work with (a oneshot) I figured there wasnt much point in wasting space and time to cameo the mayor again. Might save that for a short set though.

Dexter is actually deceptively difficult to draw because he has such undefined proportions, even as a lanky adult. He's essentially a bendy pencil, but how do you draw that in a 3/4's turned angle? Bending over, from behind, from above? While keeping him recognizable. It's weird, and it takes so much time deciding how to pose him in the frame.

Apparently there wasnt enough room to do everything I wanted.. so I "improvised" again. Welp. Hope you guys like it! Thaaaaats all for now folks.

I'm not much in a writing move right now, but im going to keep drawing on something I've been working on, I'll write the new gameplan later on.

Hopefully this answers why there are some characters I'm holding off on ha, I dont think I can do the idea I want for them in the usual format, and we dont have enough time to give them longer pieces. I dont really think i couldve made this shorter without taking away something from it, it needed the breathing room.

There are still 2 more pages, but I didn't finish in time. Do you see what I get myself in to? Even a single page can take hours to go from flats to fully color/shade/text/details so when I do that x 14... well it stacks up quick.

I'll finish up the last for ya as quick as I can. For now, I hope you like it so far.

... you guys were doing SO well. I THOUGHT we had an understanding.. it looks like that last Sandy set didn't sink in the message well enough. You're playing a dangerous game Lanterns.

Theyre just oneshots though... it still takes time to plan essentially a comic page but I can still do it.. What does that make, 5 total? Goodie.

Ember and Vanessa are added to the list. As for Aphrodite, I'm currently doing Shading and backgrounds, its just that there are soooo many pages.

I thought about releasing just a few, but I like doing the shading and details in one for all of it rather than completing a few and starting the process from the bottom each time. But as soon as I'm done I'll post em in one big post starting from page 1. Okay, gonna get back to it then. See you with a comic soon.

Aphrodite Part 2 WIPS

Making progress of the next.. bunch of pages for Aprhodite. Olympus have mercy. Here's some of the first panels I've started to line and color.

For the record, that third one is the one you have to thank for that Huntress Wizard pic, it looks simple enough but the facing foward, slightly looking down Aphrodite headshape got me stuck for a bit.

But first, lets go over this substantial victory for Lee. Nearly a third of the vote huh? And Vanessa and Lilith not far behind.. I can see the vision. Hopefully they'll get their own time to shine, even if its just for a one pager to remind everyone why they should come back more often. Which is in part some of the motive behind these quicker polls.

I was stuck on a specific pose for Aphrodite that gave me artist block yesterday and rather than wasting time, I worked on my AT art a bit more. I blame the aforementioned twitter feed. ... damn canon ships. Anyways.

I actually haven't watched Cake and Fiona yet tho, so idk how these 2 even got together. You're all just lucky I've gathered enough to see that there is in fact some thorns in the pairing to make it worth my while. But it doesn't have the same taste as it used to.. DILF finn looks pretty cool... hmm
