Flesh pit AMA on reddit tomorrow evening.

Hello,

I'm going to answer the top 3 questions in this thread:

https://www.reddit.com/r/FleshPitNationalPark/comments/jarn0a/first_official_mystery_flesh_pit_ama/

tomorrow night, but of course I'll answer some questions here as well exclusively for the Patrons. I also thought I'd share some info about the next few posts I'm working on, as well as the status of the book.

Right now, a major piece I'm working on is a very detailed "trail map" that you might find on a large display sign or on the back of a fold-out map pamphlet. I'm taking inspiration for this primarily from assorted geological section charts and river meander maps. When completed, it will be the largest and most detailed view of the superorganism to date, and should reveal quite a bit about the pit. I expect to have it completed in two to three weeks.

Secondary to that, I'm working on two infographic-like displays which cover both the pit's overall theory of biology as well as a guide to interfacing with the gift gardens, a feature of the pit which I feel I've been neglecting and putting off. As I've said in other posts and comments, my knowledge of biology is armchair at best, so I've been spending a lot of time researching and forming a more comprehensive model of the pit for consistency and detail.

That consistency and detail, then, leads me to the status of the book. The writing is slowly coming along, but I tend to aggressively edit and restart various portions, and I feel like I'm still sort of "dialing-in" the exact tone and style I am wanting to achieve. Art-wise, I'm also trying to strike a balance in the content I post vs what I leave for the book, since I intend for it to be illustration-heavy.

Thank you all for your support and patience with this project, and I welcome your questions!

-Trevor
