Of course it's not fair that only one or a few bad actors have to ruin it for others, but it is far more often than not a result of those bad actors and shouldn't immediately be taken as overt discrimination against YOU specifically for no reason. It's not like it's some wild new concept to them either, growing up most of us have had plenty of experiences of the same and chances to get used to it. Teacher allows eating in the classroom, until one jerk leaves a big mess that the teacher has to clean up, no more eating in class. It's not fair that I can't have a snack anymore when it wasn't my fault, but arguing against it won't change the teacher's mind, life just isn't fair sometimes.
