Big announcements and exciting news this week. Stay to the end of this post to find out more about this picture!
Also, if you know any podcasts or shows that would like to have me on to plug things, do let them (and me) know!

New Tea with Alice with Melissa Febos - The Traitor MemoryCast
Available on Apple Podcasts, via TuneIn and YouTube!
This was such a lovely chat. Melissa is a fascinating person and has had such an intense life, which she now makes into beautiful art.

Jordan, Jesse Go! - Splay Balls, with Alice Fraser https://maximumfun.org/podcasts/jordan-jesse-go/
The dumbest funnest dumb fun I’ve had for a while. I recorded this at 4am and was basically delirious throughout.
The Gargle – Jay Foreman & Cerys Bradley - Croc virgin | Car seat | Masturbation Listen: https://pod.link/gargle Watch: https://youtu.be/IjuslrEwU3I
I was a fan of Jay Foreman even before I started doing comedy, so it’s always surreal to have him on. Also Cerys is consistently funny in angles that surprise me, which is one of my favourite ways to be made to laugh.

The D'Ancey LaGuarde Reader by Alice Fraser & D'Ancey LaGuarde
Will be published, if you support it.
A glorious insight into the world of D’Ancey LaGuarde; self-published romance maven of The Gargle.
I seem to have walked arse backwards into writing a book, and in the most D’Ancey appropriate way; sort of self published, in that it’s through unbound, which funds the writing of the book through presales. So if it’s not going to make enough money to be worth writing, it doesn’t get made.
As someone who was always told “you should write a book”, I have given it a lot of thought. Why haven’t I done it before? I worried for a while that it was because I don’t have the discipline for long-form projects, but then I did the last post and it turns out that I do, if I have someone on the other end of the line waiting for me to turn something out.
But traditional publishers have mostly (on the occasional occasions that they’ve approached me over the years) basically asked me to write a book on spec, or for a bad deal, or for the possibility of a good deal further down the line, and it’s never appealed to me to play the kind of popularity lottery that so much of the book publishing industry seems to have become for new authors now. Not that brilliant things don’t get published, but so many brilliant things even if they do get published sink without a trace because the PR is wrong or the news cycle is off.
Maybe it’s a lack of self-confidence, but it’s always felt like realism to hold fire. And then Producer Chris of The Bugleverse approached me with this idea from Unbound and I thought, actually yes, that’s the way to do a first book. The silliest way. The funniest way. The way that makes me smile just to think about. The way that D’Ancey would approve.
Anyway, fund the silliness here.
