Dance Fever Analysis-"Morning Elvis"

I'm new to Florence + The Machine, but I believe 'Mermaids' and 'Morning Elvis' were bonus tracks to this album, and I love what they add to overall theme and message. The juxtaposition of these two tracks is amazing. With Mermaids showing that nostalgia for party culture and Morning Elvis the darker side of it. Both things can be true. You can look back and think 'that was a fun time, but boy did I make some bad choices. I'm so glad I made it out alive.' So proud of her! Thank you and the fans who recommended this, for introducing me to this wonderful music! I look forward to going on another musical journey with you soon.

If you liked this album you should react to ceremonials and/or how big how blue how beautiful sometime! Ceremonials has a lot of that gospel sound while HBHBHB is a bit more rock oriented but for my personal taste the better one overall

I know it’s been said a couple of times but here’s another vote to How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful next or at some point. High as Hope also has some great songs - the production is much more toned down on that album. Also I loved your analysis, I agree with it! I think you caught all of the incorrect lyrics that were in that video. This is such a beautiful closing song.

this song makes me sob every time haha. it's such a perfect album closer and i'm so glad you loved it! this album means so much and i've enjoyed every second of your reaction. <3 repeating other comments, it would be amazing to see your thoughts on one of her other albums (in which she never really mumbles or uses her demon voice) especially How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful.
