These are two pages from Sakura's diary. These were requested from some readers , Sakura wrote a lot , but these are the only pages that can be showed that is spoiler free. These are entries from when she was 18-19 years old.

I wonder why he has a strong connection with turtles, does he see himself as one, or learn about them as a kid and became fascinated?

It shows all the complexity of this subject (mental health) and how they are no black or white in the world... We better know why turtles are important

2024-02-04 14:55:49 +0000 UTCHow interesting! I imagined Hiro being very excited to be a dad and absolutely ADORING Sakuraβs pregnant belly. But then when he realizes his children are actually their own people with their own personalities and attitudes, I imagine he found being a father was a lot harder than he thought it would be. Especially with his inability to regulate his emotions and his other mental health issues. Then he just switched from being a loving father and guide to being a sadistic protector. In both instances he is fathering the best way he knows how. His character is so complex and heartbreaking. Thank you so much for sharing and for this story that opens up so much conversation regarding severe mental health!
