Hustle & Grind vs Enjoy Your Youth?

This is a tough trade-off most people struggle to figure out.

In their teens and 20s, many don’t want to miss out on "their best years."

But think about it?

What are you REALLY missing out on?

Backpacking around Asia with your broke friends creating "memories"?

The thing is...

When you’re 30+, it’s much harder to build your dream life. You’ll have a lot more responsibilities like kids, bills, aging parents, etc.

Plus, you won’t have as much energy as you did when you are 18-30.

I personally believe 16-30 is the best time to BUILD your dream life with occasional "fun."

Then smoothing things out and start living the rest of your life like a Hollywood movie around the ages 30+

Your birthday will be a lifestyle.

The Reality Check

Let's face it: the idea of "best years" is overrated.

Yes, partying and traveling with friends sounds fun, but it doesn't help build a solid future, unless you're intention is to build some type of business around travelling.

When you're young, you have the energy, time, and fewer responsibilities—Please use this to your advantage.

The grind may seem harsh now, it may seem like you're missing out on all the best moments and experiences. but 'missing out' on that sets the foundation for a future where you don't have to worry about money or stability.

Lack of money and financial stability is the reason why theres soo many people experiencing stressful and miserable realities.

The Hard Truth About Your 30s

Once you hit 30, life gets a little complicated.

You've got a career to think about, maybe a family, and definitely more financial obligations.

The carefree days of your youth are gone. You might find it hard to dedicate time to building your dream life when you're juggling so many responsibilities.

The energy levels you took for granted in your 20s won't be the same.

The Benefits of Hustling Young

1. Financial Security:

Starting early means you can save and invest more.

Compound interest is a powerful thing, and the earlier you start, the better off you'll be.

By the time your peers are just starting to worry about starting a proper career, you could already be about to enter an early retirement.

2. Career Advancement:

Climbing the career ladder is easier when you start young. You have time to learn, grow, and make mistakes.

By the time you're in your 30s, you'll be a seasoned professional with a solid background in your profession.

3. Flexibility:

Building your dream life early gives you more flexibility later.

Want to take a whole year off to travel PROPERLY in your 30s? You can:

You can do this comfortably if you've already established yourself.

Want to start a business? You’ll have the financial cushion to take risks.

Imagine hitting 30 with a successful career/business, financial security, and the freedom to live life on your terms.

Instead of struggling to make ends meet, you're enjoying the lifestyle you've built.

Your birthday isn't just another year older—it's a celebration of the life you've created.

By putting in the work early, you're setting yourself up for a future where you can truly enjoy the fruits of your labour.

Having fun, and making memories is great but don't allow that to come at the expense of your future.

I know hustling and grinding in your youth might not sound glamorous, but it's a very smart move.

Don't fall for the myth that your teens and 20s are the only time for fun—your best years are ahead of you if you put in the work now.

The earlier you start to get your life together, the better. Then you can maximise the years where you don’t have as much energy or motivation and more responsibilities.

I like to grind 7 days a week because I’m crazy.

However this is not for everyone, most people should not do this.

Occasional fun is fine and will keep most people from losing their mind. Take the occasional week off and go do something nice by yourself or with your friends, family, kids, GF/BF.

It’s good to grind so you can set yourself up for a nice future but remember you still have a life to live.

1-2 nights out per month won’t ruin things.

1-2 enjoyment activities per month won't ruin things.

I believe this would be a good balance for most people.

Most people want to work hard when they’re older.

Instead, switch it around and do it while you’re young and full of energy, with zero or not many responsibilities.

Hustle and grind, but add a sprinkle of ✨ occasional fun ✨

Having fun and making memories is great, but don’t let that come at the expense of your future.

When you’re young, you have the advantage and gift of time, energy, and fewer obligations.

16-30 is the perfect period to focus on building a solid foundation of your dream life.

-Till Next Time
