Back to Japan! ✈️🇯🇵✨

The end of my UK adventure is coming up, I'll be heading back to Japan this week! Mixed emotions - I honestly don't want to leave! This has been my first real holiday since the pandemic started and it was certainly much needed. It's been such a great trip overall (the fooooooood) and there's so much more I want to see here, the amount of cool recommendations I've received from everyone is wild. I managed to visit some of them but I've got a list a mile long of things I want to see in the UK now, haha. The best parts about being here are:

1. The food - Sconessss, need I say more. Afternoon tea. Amazing breakfasts. Cereal! Affordable mangoes! Sandwiches! The pub food has all been 10/10. Great ciders. 

2. Makeup - I don't use any Japanese makeup really, none of it suits me or is the right colour for my skin/eyebrows :( It's been fun picking up some new makeup here! 

3. Clothes that fit! - Not only do they fit but they're flattering on my body type which is such a nice change. Everything in Japan is frilly and baggy and made for people that want to look more curvy, but I would like the opposite please😂

4. The relaxed atmosphere - Japan is known as being a really rule-focused and well-mannered place, which is certainly true. And sometimes that's great, but other times it can be really restrictive and just, not fun. Talking on the train for example, it's been nice to be able to relax and have a conversation with my friends on the train without people glaring at me😅 And being able to film outside and in shops without being told off has been great too😂

5. The scenery - It's so different from anything I've seen in Japan or Canada, I really love it! The green hills, the farms filled with sheep and cows, the cliffs on the coast, and the architecture is SO beautiful. I feel like most people who live in the UK really take it for granted. We don't have beautiful old houses like this where I'm from!

But I do miss Maro a lot so I am really excited to get back home to him❤️

Ushka is doing an amazing job looking after him, and I'm sure he's gonna be a bit bummed about saying bye to his new cat friends now!

My little England vlog will be up in a few days, just some snippets of my last couple weeks hanging out with friends. 

I wanted to film a lot more but my camera decided to break (while I was in the weird glowy bathroom, I think the insanely bright lights threw it off😅 You'll see what I mean when the vlog comes out haha 😭) 

So I'm now on the hunt for a new vlog camera, not really sure what I want to go with next. The Sony ZV-1 was decent but considering it was created for the purpose of vlogging it was lacking in a few areas that are really important. Stabilization was crap unless you were in Action Mode so lots of the footage is way too shaky, but when you put it in Action Mode it zooms in so far that you can barely fit your face in the screen let alone anything else. Such a shame because the picture quality was quite good, and the mic, and the size of the cam was nice to carry around with you - but I think I'll probably try something else next time. 

💌 I've gotten some messages from Postcard Club fam that letters are arriving to them so that's a relief! Always a bit stressful trying to workout the postal system in a new country, and the Post Office here was a bit all over the place😂
