LYWTTA) Meeting With The Dean Part 2

The old man could only sit there in silence. After almost five minutes he finally asked: “You said you are not from this world?”

“Yeah…” Yuki scratched her head. “You see, where I came from, me and my wives had to escape through a tear in space from a powerful entity. One of my wives ended up having her life force basically sucked from her body. To keep her alive I am using both spiritual qi, the power from where I come from is abundant and mana from this world to sustain her. I need to make a pocket dimension that I can carry around. The only way to do that is to mix what we call a mystic realm with the magic of this world. By doing so I should be able to create something like a space pouch or a spatial ring but for humans where mana and spiritual qi are abundant. This way she can stay stabilized while I find a person in the immortal realm to check her soul.”

“ I see… this entity. Will it…”

“No. It’s trapped or more like it seems to have sealed itself off to help heal itself. All I know is that thing was powerful. Much more powerful than anyone I had yet to meet. And to top it off it’s huge.” Yuki replied, cutting the old man off. She was only saying everything outright because she hoped it would be enough to get the old man to let her see the books related to space-time magic.

“That’s good. While I do wish I could help you, the rules of the kingdom itself restrict those without clearance to see anything related to space-time. You would need to be a royal mage of at least the 8th circle to get access to them. You can’t even gain access unless you have a proper token from the palace.” The old man explained causing Yuki’s face to sour.

“So I just need to destroy a single kingdom to gain access?” Yuki’s spirit pressure burst forth and landed on the old man. A glowing red aura also began to seep out. “I was trying to be kind and even told you my story. If I can not gain access I can just break the damn barrier blocking me and then kill anyone who dares to stop me.”

“Yuki!” Lilly was pale as a ghost. She did not know if Yuki was going to kill the Dean or not!

“Lass, you really should wait and listen until the end!” The old man forced out these words. He understood that the girl’s wife was in trouble and she needed this information. He was just telling her the rules. He also planned to tell her he could also bend these rules.

Yuki narrowed her eyes as she slowly released her spirit pressure. “I will let you finish but if it does not contain me accessing the books I will go make myself queen, empress, or whatever it is.”

“Please calm down. While I can not let you access them directly, I can take them out myself. In fact I have a few here on the shelves. I have a habit of looking into all forms of magic to help push my own fire magic.” The old man wiped the sweat from his brow. He was starting to think he was getting too old for all of this.

“I see. If you were able to do that then next time start with that before going into rules!” Yuki snorted. He made her waist some of her qi!

“Yes. That is my fault. I should have said it from the start.” The old man slowly stood up. “Let me get the materials I have here. You can take them back with you. If you can, make a copy and return these as soon as you can. If they are not what you are looking for I will need to return those to get something better.”

“Thanks. I will make a copy of them and return them to you in a few days. It will be best if I can compile everything you have before I really dive into it.” Yuki was not going to just toss away anything. There was no telling what might be important later that she would think is useless now.

“Yuki, we have a magi copier at the house if you want to use that. It will copy everything in the books onto paper for you.” Lilly wanted to help as much as possible. She had seen Nana. She knew how much Yuki wanted to save her loved one. So even if her help was small it was at least something.

“Thanks, that will make things easier.” Yuki smiled and let out a sigh of relief. She would have had to stay up day and night to copy these books. They were pretty thick.

“Then when you return those to me. I will get you more by the end of the day. The both of you can take the rest of the day off. Stop here tomorrow morning to drop off the materials and come back after classes. I will have more for you.” The old man knew what he was doing could get him in a lot of trouble but he knew a person like Yuki who had so much power did not need the materials on space-time if she wanted to destroy the kingdom. This was why he was willing to bend the rules.
