TROA) Let's Play A Game

“The city seems pretty dead…..” Jen complained as we continued walking. We killed a few more spiders, but that was about it. There were three more in total, but I let Jen kill all three. She needed practice, after all. While I was a bit greedy for experience points, my Jen came first.

“Yeah, it is actually quite surprising. I am not sure if it is because most of them ran away. Or if they are still in hiding. I know about seventy percent of them died due to the spiders, but this is just a bit….” As I was talking, I tilted my head to the side. May hair swayed as a bullet passed through it. “Who the fuck dares to shoot at me!? Jen, get behind the car!”

Jen quickly did as I asked as I continued standing there, looking around. I heard a soft, muffled sound as another bullet came flying towards me. I once more tilted my head to dodge the shot. This time, I easily pinpointed where the person was shooting from. I picked up a large slab of broken cement from one of the buildings and chucked it with all I had.

*Boom!*

“Ahhh… Maybe that was a bit much….” I looked at the gaping hole in the building and the man falling from the sky. On one of the floors, there was a group of men in black clothing standing there, staring back down at me in shock.

“It seems we have a hunt on our hands. Jen, remember your training. Use your barriers to block bullets and aim for their heads.” After saying this, I began walking forward while drawing my phase pistol.

Jen quickly caught up to me. Her expression quickly switched to her expressionless kill mode. To be honest, I found it quite sexy. When we got near the building, I grabbed hold of Jen’s waist, pressed firmly off the ground, and shot myself upwards. Using the building itself as a means of propelling myself further upwards, I continued until I reached the seventyth floor. To be honest, I did not know if this would work, but it did. With my new enhanced strength, I can do quite a bit one would not be able to do.

“You! Monster!” One of the men yelled out as I landed on the floor in front of him.

“Monster? Who the fuck was it that just shot at a teen girl!? And you call me a monster just because I can run up a building?” I asked. Ignoring the fact that the only reason this floor was open to the elements was because I destroyed the outside wall.

“You-You destroyed the wall and killed him already! I had nothing to do with us!” One of the men in black yelled out.

“You are all dressed in black and acting all culty, but you are scared of a young girl. Tell me, why are you even men? Even if I kill the main culprit, you all are also accomplices. You did not try to stop him after all.” I replied with a raised eyebrow. I mean, I made a good point, right? If they did not let him shoot at me, would I be standing here? I would not even have known they were here!

“We did try to stop him!” One of the other men argued. I looked at him as if he was some kind of fool. It was only one person shooting at me. Why was it so hard to stop them?

“No excuses. For people like you, I only have one solution.” I said with a smile and then tilted my head, leaning it against Jen’s shoulder, and said, “We will play a game. Those who win get to live. Those who fail will die. Who wants to play? You only have two choices, by the way. One is to die. The other is to play the game.”

“What… Are the rules?” One of the men asked.

“So glad you asked! It is very simple…..” I smiled and looked at Jen, who nodded back at me. “If you can kill my beautiful wife here, you can live. If not, you die. It is that simple. Oh! Right! You can also choose to jump to the ground below. There is a chance you might live through that as well.”

“We just need to kill her?” Another man asked.

“Yep! That is all…. But it is a one on one fight. It would not be fair if you were to run at her at the same time.” I know Jen has a barrier on, but if all of them attack her at the same time, there would be no fun in watching their expressions. This may seem kind of sadistic, but they did try to kill me after all. And trying to kill me is a death sentence.

“That’s fine. I will deal with this quickly.” One of the men took out a gun and pointed it at Jen. Before he could pull the trigger, a large hole appeared in his head. It looked as if it had been melted because it was still smoldering red.

“What!?” The men all jumped back in fright as the man’s body fell to the ground.

“Did I say you could start? What the hell gave you guys the idea that it was okay to start farting in front of me!? Either you wait for my signal or end up like him!”
