Neo) Slap You To Death!

Hearing Neo’s question, Princess Feng and Mei Ling both held their heads. What else could have happened!? They were chased by high ranking demonic beasts! At least, this was what Princess Feng wanted to scream out, but she held back her words since she knew it was not time to reveal Neo for who she truly was just yet.

But before Princess Feng could come up with an answer, the academy master explained things in a low voice so that only they could hear. “They were in fights with demonic beasts. Not everyone is as strong as you.” 

“Oh! So they are weak, I got it!” Neo nodded her head in understanding as she sat cross-legged with her hands crossed across her chest. Her words were very loud, so everyone who heard them could only grit their teeth and want to slap the damn girl. They had only just started cultivating, and they were forced to fight rank two and three demonic beasts!

It could be said that Neo made many enemies at this moment. Not that she cared since she could just slap them to death, but she had angered quite a few people. But since the academy master was standing there, they did not say anything. They did not wish to anger the man at the top of the academy.

The academy master could sense the hostility in the air and knew things would not be good if they continued. “We will leave the mystic realm first. Those who have at least one demonic beast core will be allowed to enter the academy this year.” 

While this sounded mean due to what happened, he could not afford to take in all of the new students. He did not have the resources for it. The academy did get a huge number of resources, most went to the students who have been here for a long time.

Sure enough, once these words were said, many of the new people taking the test expressions fell while others bloomed like flowers. It was cruel, but it was the only concession the academy master was willing to give.

Now, long later, everyone was now standing outside the mystic realm. While some were injured, after eating a few healing pills, they were good enough to finish the test. “Everyone line up and show the monster cores you have collected.”

Very quickly, a line formed. But out of the hundreds of students who entered the mystic realm, only about twenty were now in line. This included both Princess Feng and Mei Ling as well as Neo, who were at the back.

Up above them was a board that was ranking people based on the number of points they got from turning in cores. A rank one core was worth one point, while a rank two was worth two, and so on. 

The line moved swiftly without much reaction until a young man suddenly placed his cores down. “Twenty points!”

“Whaooo!” People looked on, amazed. Since most people only had one or two points. The highest had only been five points.

“Why are they so shocked?” Neo did not understand. They were acting like twenty points was a lot! “Here, you girls, take these.” Neo passed both Mei Ling and Princess Feng ten cores each. Each one of them was rank five. This meant they both had fifty points.

Princess Feng and Mei Ling looked at Neo for a moment before smiling. It looked like Neo hated to lose, and she was allowing them to join her. When the two went up to turn in their cores, and everyone saw that they both got fifty points each, the crowd once more became noisy. 

As for the young man was dropped down to third place, his lips twitched. He glared at the two girls as if they were his worst enemies. That was until… “What is that!? One hundred and seventy-eight points!?”

Neo stood in front of everyone with a proud look on her face that said, come on praise me! “She cheated!” 

“She had to have cheated! She brought cores with her!” 

“Cheater!”

“Cheater!”

“Cheater!”

“Cheater!”

More and more shouts came from the other students, causing Neo’s happy expression to turn to one of anger. “I did not cheat!”

“There is no way you could have so many points!” Someone shot back.

“Then let’s fight! Let’s see how I slap you to death!” Neo had enough. She started rolling up the sleeves she did not have and went to step forward to slap everyone who called her a cheater when someone landed in front of her. 

“Neo, stand down.” The academy master turned and looked at her. He was hoping she would listen!

“Old man, don’t tell me to stand down! These bastards said I was cheating. Let’s see how much I am cheating when they get slapped to death!” Neo was angered to the point that she was not willing to listen to anyone…. Except….

“Neo, look a naked beauty!” Princess Feng came to the rescue.

“Hmm? Naked beauty!? Where!?” Neo looked around, searching the area around her for the naked beauty, but did not see one and could only look at Princess Feng with a pitiful look. “Why are you picking on me!?”

“Stop picking on Neo!” Mei Ling quickly stuck up for Neo. 

Princess Feng instantly became angry as she pointed at Mei Ling and shouted: “You shut up! I was trying to stop a massacre!”
