Sitting near campfires + Secret mechanic.

Ingame, if you stay idle for a few seconds near a campfire, Zoria will sit down, and, if you're damaged and have meat in your inventory, she'll start eating it, healing up, so you don't have to waste your limited potions.

Right now I'm on my way to redo this animations to make them look better.
And, when making the new sitting animation + meat stand appear, a question popped in my mind.


Should the meat be raw, and have to be cooked for a few seconds before Zoria starts to actually eat it?
It would make you lose a few seconds, but give the game a lot more of ambient/immersion I think. After all, it's a secret mechanic to heal up.
Notes: Each meat has 4 charges, meat would only cook up if the meat is complete, if you stand up and sit at some other time, if your meat was already cooked, and half eaten, the animation wouldn't play again (cooking). Only for new, full pieces of meat.

That's a nice point right there! I do like the idea of just sitting there while Zoria cooks some meat :D

2020-06-04 18:46:55 +0000 UTCImo, for a secret mechanic, the extra immersion is worth it. Imagine the impact of discovering that feature, and then the extra hit of discovering the additional detail. It's like a secret within a secret. If players are interested in fast healing, presumably they wouldn't be using this mechanism for that purpose anyway.
