Matt has plot armor bc he was dating one of the producers during the show. It’s so frustrating like at least make him interesting if you refuse to kill him off for this long 😂 also they can’t take the cure from Stefan bc it will speed up his aging until he is his actual age of 171 which is what happened to Katherine. They could take the cure from Elena since her aging would only speed up to a few years older than she is now and it wouldn’t kill her.
