Odyssey Developer's Journal #7 - lemons?

If life gives you lemons you are supposed to make lemonade right? Well what if life takes the lemons and stomps on them and then pours the sugar in your gas tank? Life has a great way of laying it on thick and 2023 has certainly taken a "hold my beer" approach to seeking 2020's title of crappiest year, but we press onward.

This quarter has been very slow progress due to a lot of real life challenges with various team members. We continue to make some progress but with people being SWAMPED at work, dealing with mental health concerns and a slew of other stuff including my wife totaling in the car (she's ok gladly, but the car is not), it's been hard to find the motivation to work much on Odyssey.

Attached you will find some awesome tracks from Tyler which he has been working on for act 1, but I wish I had much more to show for the last few months. Beyond some more editing and a little more dialogue and quest implementation we are just steadily working onward and hoping for a big thrust of energy soon, but I don't see that coming in the short term personally, as myself and everyone in my household came down with Covid recently. After 3 years of avoiding it, being fully vaxxed and rarely leaving the house for much, we still got it. So I'm slowly on the mend from that.

During my little period of hiatus I started some work on Legacy V6 updates and even released a small side project "SUDs - Skyrim's Unique Drinks" along with museum support for it, so I'm not entirely dead in the water lol.

Life has a tendency to do this at times, I just hope that this period passes soon as we can get back to making another energetic push.
