Man fantastic video! A guitar player, Bobby K use to tell me ya gotta be pissed to play Rock n Roll. Pop music is about What is right in the world. Rock n Roll music comments on what’s wrong in the world. It always has..I agree with your assessment of players, performances over the years. The discriminatory nature of Rock n Roll reeked its ugly head early on MTV with no Black music being played until finally Michael Jackson videos took off! I sang with Otis Blackwell who wrote for Elvis. Not only did he write Return to Sender, Don’t Be Cruel, and also Great Balls of Fire for Jerry Lee Lewis. But when Elvis wanted to do a song Otis had not written, colonel Parker would ask Otis to record it in Otis’ style, which Elvis would then adopt as his own! But the war in Vietnam angered young people to action, hence the song four dead in Ohio. We changed a Constitutional Amendment to lower the voting age to 18. Say thank you boomers! I could say more but you’ve so eloquently covered it here JT. Ya gotta be pissed to play Rock n Roll💜
