June '24 update - 1,000 Patrons!

Hey guys,

Big news first! I just passed the 1,000 Patrons mark for the first time. This is a really big milestone, and I want to say a massive thankyou to all of you who make it possible for me to make a living creating these devices for you!

I first created this Patreon because I believed that commercial adult toys lack imagination, and that I could do better. I could never have imagined that nearly five years later there would be literally thousands of my devices out there in the wild.

I’ve been working on a new device and I’m planning to release an early Alpha of it in the next Maker ($8 tier) release. I’m calling it the Tempest Joystick or T-Joy.

The T-Joy is essentially a control device for a multi-axis stroker. It uses electrocapacitive sensors and solid-state gyros to wirelessly control a device like an OSR2/SR6/SSR1 in multiple axes. This could be fun locally, with a willing partner, but I have been working with soritesparadox to make this compatible with his Ayva remote platform, which means that soon it will be possible to use this to control stroker robots live over the internet.

I first got this device working a year or so ago, but since then I have put a lot of time and thought into making it possible to homebuild this device. I’ve been able to hone this design to the point where it doesn’t require any special skills or exotic tools or materials to put it together.

I know my user base are more inclined toward receiving multi-axis movements rather than sending them. Nonetheless I believe that this is a device that should definitely exist! It’s absolutely wild watching a multi-axis stroker respond to inputs on it in real time.

In other news those of you who keep an eye on the discord server will know that I have been having trouble with my livestreaming setup. I tried to film a livestream at the end of May and I lost the recording. I think I have a solution, a temporary one at least, so hopefully I will manage a livestream in the next few days. Keep your eyes on Discord for that.
