Added 2022-08-04 21:34:58 +0000 UTCHello Benefactors, here’s some news on what I’ve been up to in the last two months. These are monthly newsletters, but hopefully when you read my first topic you’ll understand why I’ve taken the unusual step of covering two months in one.
I’m going to talk about a personal experience I have had with work over the last month or so. I have been suffering from stress and exhaustion and I’ve had to take a break. This is a strange topic for me to cover in this newsletter because it’s non-technical but I feel that it’s worth discussing. This is partly because as my most valued supporters you are entitled to know what has been going on with my work, but it’s also because hearing about my experiences might help some of you avoid getting into the same situation. Or at least help you to recognise when you’re in it.
I do have some technical stuff to cover of course. In June I got the SR6 document updated with the new twist receiver, and I collaborated with anielSzal to get his multi-axis scripts released. In July I did some work on Virt-a-Mate plugins, and in particular I have been re-visiting my Random Stroker plugin. About this time last year I came up with a stroker algorithm, which has actually been adopted by soritesparadox, and I intend to implement it in my own plugin.
