Are you a Chris and Steph completionist? Are you super bored and want to kill 21 minutes of your life? Do you like shaky iphone footage? Are you interested in listening to my (Chris's) crappy Mandarin, and interspersed with me say 'owh..' and 'right' on repeat? Does listening to me and Steph ask annoying questions to market vendors - and forgetting to switch back to/summarize in English - sound fascinating? And most importantly, again, are you super super bored? Well then, this is the video for you...
So right. This was an idea we had that didn't quite turn out as interesting as I thought it might, but I figured that, hey, some of you might be interested anyhow.
See, whenever we go travelling going to the local market is always like a must-do activity. See the local produce, see what sort of ingredients people're working with. Just kind of slowly meander through, look what's on offer, ask the vendors questions. It's a really good way to get the vibe of a place and a cuisine, and hey, it's something kinda fun to do.
So we figured, 'hey, maybe people on Patreon might find this interesting?' Just keep it natural, just film as we're doing our thing. Don't cut or keep it to a minimum, just show what the market's like.
Didn't come out very good IMO, but I figured that it'd be best to upload anyhow let y'all come to that conclusion yourselves. I think we might try this sort of thing again next time we travel, but maybe we'll take it a bit more seriously... do the filming separate of the normal walkthrough, I'll do my narration voice, add some subtitles etc.
