Small Arms of WWI Primer 135: Norwegian Krag Carbines

Just a bit behind schedule thanks to a last minute fix and our internet going out!

Enjoy!

Small Arms of WWI Primer 135: Norwegian Krag Carbines

That is almost as scary as,"I was thinking."

I'm not a lawyer and can't say for sure. However, there are multi-billion dollar 501c3s, so I don't see how it can be disadvantageous...

Dr. B

I have heard that 501c3s are disadvantageous for growth due to limits on how much money can remain unspent. Something about no more than two years operating expenses can sit in the bank comes to mind.

Andrey Gardner

We appreciate it!

Perhaps the SMKJ iswritten as SmMaKJ or SmMaKrJo, pronounced smack-jay and smacker-joe. The potentially less advertiser friendly name might explain why that brand of waffle bolt is not found at most home goods retailer although it says nothing about the lack of off brand waffle bolts...

I thought I was adding to the above comment, aboutcharity. I I agree on not wanting the government into the process, particularly when your talking guns. Of course I am always willing to help out n thanks for all the info

Derrick Smith

We have, however we're struggling to just explain very basic things to the IRS right now. I've heard horror stories because of the reporting requirements/rules. I get very nervous letting more government into our process.

C&Rsenal

For which bit?

C&Rsenal

We have a plan of sorts...

C&Rsenal

Thanks for the support!

C&Rsenal

to my knowledge they favored an ammo bag that could be set down alongside the shooter in a prone position and pulled from. But I've only glanced off the info.

C&Rsenal

I wish

I am an attorney and would be willing to help for free, if that is a route you are interested in.

Derrick Smith

Have you guys considered forming an educational 501c3 - tax deducible not-for-profit? It would allow you to keep more of the money you get from Patreon and it would allow your followers to deduct their contributions from their taxes. Also, you would be able to deduct a lot of your expenses as well. I'm sure there are a few of your supporters who are lawyers and might even be willing to do the work pro-bono! Just something to think about...

Dr. B

1911 Government .45ACP pistol? It was ACTUALLY used in the Great War!!!

Kelly D West

Neat episode. On a side note. Just got my shirt order. They do nice work. And I thought Othias never sleeps lol

Luke Telling

You guys don't do a gear review with the rifle normally for known reasons (BAR episode being an exception). But during your discussion about using the Krag in WW1, perhaps an idea of what gear, web equipment, etc might be helpful. Having just watched Bloke and Rob talking about Boer War gear and rifles again, did Krag users have bandoleers with cartridge belts for ease of grabbing rounds? Something similar to Americans in the Spanish-American War?

Chairman

Mae Responding: We have a new, more different plan for the 1911 episode that I personally think is better than the previous ones.

C&Rsenal

Will there be more information on the Elbonian DMR trials, where any hand traps considered in the grenade launcher trials, and is the SMKJ Waffle Bolt an IKEA product?

Andrey Gardner

Could be a streaming issue from here overseas.

Petter Bøckman

You are toying with us in terms of the 1911 episode... leaving us in the trenches to die...

S. Evan Howie

A "slab of beer" is a unit of economic exchange between different workers, contractors etc on Australian building and construction sites.

Minion

I don't know what a slab of beer is. We do have a new.. plan for the 1911

C&Rsenal

seems fine to me?

C&Rsenal

Nice episode once again! The sound isn't entirely in sync from the second shooting segment on.

Petter Bøckman

Will give you a slab of beer if you're late with the greatly anticipated "1911" episode.
