Eeehhh they've been pumping the crap out of ads everywhere on YT steadily for at least the last year to year and a half. As far as I'm concerned you aalllmmoooosssttt have to run adblock of some sort now because its gotten as bad or worse than TV now all over YT. Even for oddball low view count niche stuff like synthwave or vaporwave vids, I actually constantly get doubled back to back ads now and it seems like half of them are unskippable bullshit that I don't care about and never will buy. The sad thing is that even then YT is still hands down better than the alternatives in terms of variety and gets the most viewers by far. If you adblock then its actually pretty good to use still for most things...although for some niche interests like guns that is starting to change.

I hate to be a downer, but YouTube are technically correct. Mae wears a hat promoting Brownell's - who sell firearms. Promoting sellers of firearms is deprecated by YT as shown above. Whether Brownell's are paying you in cash or kind or hats or love or nothing doesn't matter. Is this fair? No comment. My advice: nix all gun-branded clothing on camera.

If Congress knew how to do their job they would break up Alphabet and their subsidiaries like Google and YouTube. They have secured WAY to much market share. Monopolies always hurt consumers and suppliers. Can you guys afford to do what InRange TV has done and demonetize?

Makes me wish I was paying those ad peddlers or watching their ads so I could demonetize them… Conversely, I could say they can keep manipulative money to themselves, but I know profitable contents gets suppressed by the algorithm and the consequences thereof. I supposes I should count myself fortunate to have learned that design history counts as counts as “gun creation,” assembly/disassembly or loading is “modification,” Othais was promoting “gun makers or sellers” like Waffenfabrik Bern and/or Manufacture d'Armes de Châtellerault, joking about selling Sue’s gun is “facilitating the sale of a gun,” and Mae is a “minor using guns without adult supervision…” I regret only that my job does not hand out overtime like before, reducing by ability to put in a day for C&Rsenal. At least I can still forgo ~2.5 gyros a month to stay at the tier I escalated to during the last Youtube-ism. Perhaps if Othais had kept quaking instead of letting those devices make gun sounds, the flagging algorithm or the reviewer may have never realized that guns were involved.

Unfortunately in screwtube’s algorithm if it goes bang it must be bad...but 80 plus percent is historical context and the shooting segments are really there to tie everything together and provide a bridge to us in the modern day. I genuinely wish there was a viable competitor, as 99% of YouTube is wasted space clickbait crap and this is one of the few that provide genuine value. Upping the Patreon level now, and I encourage anyone who can afford it to do the same.
