Bug of the Month: Winged Stick Bug
Added 2015-06-15 09:41:27 +0000 UTCWhile none of us are entomologists, we're certainly becoming aware of the variety of life around us. Our range sits well out in the country, with a good bit of swamp nearby. This means we see all sort of critters on the daily.
This month we'll start light and feature one of the most welcome intruders in our shoot. The Winged Stick Bug. These flapping monsters aren't big on biting and usually manage to avoid crashing directly into our faces. While they do certainly love landing on our mics and throwing the sound completely off or bumbling along into an otherwise decent shot, they don't do any of the other stinging, blood sucking, egg laying, or skin burrowing BS we're accustomed to with everything else.
So here's to you Winged Stick Bug! Try not to hit me in the eye and we'll be just fine.
