the daredevil journey continues!! let’s watch daredevil: 2x01! ⚖️

and we’re back!! jumping right back into the action (& the pain & the heartbreak 😅)

but hey guys!!! if all goes well, i’m aiming to post at least one episode a week - probably on mondays (because ~marvel monday~ has a good ring to it 😂) & i’m really hoping to get through the entirety of season 3 before born again comes out! at least, that’s the goal. for now, i’m working on editing season 2, lol. i’ll add the episodes to a playlist here so everything should be easily accessible!! (& i added a compilation of the season 1 commentary vids, so everything is all in one place)

anyways, one episode down, many more to go - i can’t wait for this ride ⚖️🖤

@2:04: What kind of central casting bad guys are these? Balacavas? Shooting cops? Screaming "Get out of the way!"? Did you fall out of a 2001 episode of "Law & Order"? @3:09: And now we're grabbing a photogenic female teenage hostage? @3:35: Sir, you're shooting so many symbolisms here! The Lit Profs among us cannot keep up! @4:27: Darling, I know you're being facetious about Matt's grin, but you're still getting the facetious stink eye. @6:31: I consciencely object. The writing, the poetry, of this show is what make it great. @8:44: The money thing is really a plot hole that needs plugging, not just here but everywhere. Handwaving temporary solutions to rent, electricity, etc. should be a writer's favorite side project. Defend a good-hearted rich guy. Have legal-not-legal leverage on the landlord to allow for a... lengthy line of credit. Daredevil makes sure some clobbered drug dealer's cash stash finds its way into his client's hands. @23:06: Focusing on the real important issues, the contamination of meat. Did Upton Sinclair die for nothing? Rewatching this reminds of how much Marvel flourished when they got to pressure cook their stories. CGI-heavy productions require a ton of lead time. I don't think anything like Netflix has ever portrayed such a mix of white/gray/black sides interacting and conflicting. A few glaring exceptions aside, they cast such irreplaceable actors in these roles and you can see the gaps in the FeigeVerse where they know they've got to import and integrate.

5:58 not the HSM2 reference! "What about trust? You know I never wanted to hurt you..."
