Patreon Release: October 2022

Hey there all! Welcome to October's Solwyte Studios Patreon Release, full of all new monsters, machines, mystics and marshals! Oh, and collaborations!

Unfortunately this month I didn't quite get time to do a big splash image with this month's release all in one picture, but hey, fortunately we have a long list of images below accompanied by truly dull text, written by yours truly!

I do want to thank everyone for being so kind about the possibility of a delayed release, but I've just managed to get it out only an hour later than planned - thank you guys all for your continued support, it means the world to me!

For all those new here, you'll receive your files via an email invite link to redeem your files via MyMiniFactory within 24 hours of your signing up (I have to manually issue invites, so you may have to wait a little sometimes - since I have to sleep too!) - and as always you'll get your cheeky 15% discount code for the Solwyte Studios MyMiniFactory store in the following Patron-exclusive post, so keep an eye out for that.

Oh, well, let's get on with it - dull text and fancy pictures, incoming!

Let's start off big! This month sees the first collaborative effort for Solwyte, working in tandem with Gearguts Mekshop's Naut I facing off against this month's Stykaria-Reaper Assault Construct, on a fully sculpted diorama base with two removable 105x170mm oval bases! You can find more of Gearguts' absolutely awesome stuff in the following link, too:
Gearguts Mekshop Linktree

This diorama comes with both the Stykaria-Reaper and Naut I in a pre-posed format, with merged legs and arms designed to be assembled as the render above - if you want to get hold of the fully posable and modular Naut I, you'll find a link to Gearguts' Patreon in their Linktree above, which I strongly suggest if you love these kinds of giant robots, and all things green, armoured, awesome and angry! I had a blast making this diorama with Gearguts, and I'm hoping that maybe this could be the first of many cross-Patreon collaborations here, and I hope you guys like the result as much as we loved making it!

In addition, as part of this month's Patreon, the Stykaria-Reaper Assault Construct is also available as a fully modular kit, interchangeable with its predecessor, the standard Stykaria, from last month!

Building onto the standard variant of the Stykaria-Class Assault Construct, the Stykaria-Reaper fulfils one of the most frequent requests since I began this Patreon - for missile racks on top of my robots. Today, I can reveal that both that, and optional additional armour plates to widen the crest of the Stykaria torso, have been done for this version - not to mention, the two all-new arm weapons: twin belt-fed Akhataeon Heavy Rotary Guns and an Achystos Triturator. In addition, new heavier leg armour, forward-mounted shield generator plating, and a new head option are also included!

Note - I didn't quite manage to get the missile launcher exported, and only just remembered I haven't included it in the initial upload files. I'll get that uploaded as soon as possible, and post about it to let you know when it's up!

Next up, something a tad smaller, but no less exciting!

Introducing the first miniature for a new range of more sorcerous infantry is the Diadoki, of the Taekolta faction.

The Taekolta are predatory civilisation, feared for raiding small isolated settlements across the Promised Land, lead by covens of priests and witches alike. Each tribe, or Kolta, spends most of its time acting independently of the others, however it is not unheard of for, in times of dire need and approaching witherseasons, the Meridarka to call for a uniting of the tribes. The Diadoki marshal the tribe under their command, each word unquestioned, for the Diadoki are each born of the royal bloodline, those closest in kin to Taeish, the avatar of their spirituality.

So, in a nutshell, the Diadoki are mutant magic murderers descended from genocidal angels, who lead their tribes into war. They're not solely equipped with melee weapons, but also bring to bear both bows and guns, summon undead monsters, and use arcane magics to both defend themselves and turn nature against their foes, in (naturally) the most disturbing of ways. And they can ride undead stag-bears. You get the idea.

At present, I will happily admit that, as a first miniature, this seems like a strong departure from my usual sci-fi themes, but don't worry, as the range expands, so too will the exploration of their aesthetics, and their place in the world.

Next up - let's get weird!

Succeeding the Legion Hetaera as a second 'pure' Dæmon unit in the Legions of Khurybah are the Shikari. Just fitting on 40mm bases, these things are by no means a small foe to face, particularly en masse, where their bodies, made from reconstituted muscle and bone - a living weapon that carves and devours its way through foes, fortifications and vehicles with terrifying ease. As the lore for the Legions of Khurybah becomes more solid, the descriptions for these will expand a little further, but for now, I think this image alone says a lot more than my words could!

Oh, and since you guys love size comparisons, here you go:

As you can see, the Taekolta are a bit taller than the Skjalos, but certainly both are dwarfed by the Shikari. Oh yeah, they big. I mean, not as big as a heavy tank...

The Octhyax Achylius is the first in a new line of heavy assault vehicles, all armed with devastating weapons and reinforced armour. This particular variant comes with a turret-mounted rotary cannon and two sponson-mounted twin autocannons - however also included are a host of other options for both turrets and sponsons, for a total of 14 unique weapon choices. The dimensions of the Octhyax are 112x175x75mm (LxWxH), making it a fairly substantial vehicle.

Not enough options? Pfft, fine, let's go all-out!

Behold, before your very eyes, an all new Covenants of Mars character! Leading the Myadea legions into battle, commanding from the frontlines, the Thraecii are among the most deadly, not to mention versatile, warriors to face.

I know you guys love options, so we have all of the following equipment options available:
Deliverance Blade
Hyperion Siege Hammer
Phase Carbine
Power Maul
Siege Shield
Vibrocleaver
Crusher Claw
Haratarii Demiglaive
Hyperion Power Blade
Myadean Lance
Power Gauntlet
Power Pick
Shotrifle
Voltaic Blaster

If all that (plus three empty hand options - one at ease, one pointing, and one beckoning on an enemy into a challenge) isn't enough, then honestly, I'm not sure where to go from here! In addition, it also includes the Thraecii head, Phase Carbine, Shotrifle, Deliverance Blade and Voltaic Blaster (which was rebuilt for this release from the ground up) separately for use in conversions and kitbashes!

And, well, if you're sick of options, the last entry for this month should satisfy you - why have lots of weapons when one will do the trick?

Next up is an all-new fourth variant of the Myraphyx line of tanks, shedding its flexibly interchangeable turret for a dedicated weapons platform housing an ultrasonic destructor. With so much space required to carry both its cannon and the generator for its nightmarish payload, wherein targets are slowly, painfully liquified and eviscerated by intense vibrations, the Myraphyx Naryka tows its fuel in a trailer behind it. Though this does leave it vulnerable from the rear, there have been very few casualties suffered from fuel exposures since its introduction to battlefields, as the psychological effect of such an abhorrent weapon renders it almost unapproachable without lasting severe injuries to those few 'lucky' enough to survive an assault against one - let alone a squadron!

Damn. Two giant robots, two characters, two tanks, and and infantry sets? Well, I'm fairly content with that for a month's work!

I'll be posting up the discount codes in the next couple of days, along with plans for November's releases! September's presupports were fairly chunky, so unfortunately they're not quite ready yet, however as soon as they're ready, both September's and the Nemesis'Class Destroyer Engine's supports will be uploaded!

You've got a lot of new stuff to print, and I can't wait to see them - if you want to show off your finished prints and models, feel free to post them up in #my-solwyte in my Discord! Finally, If you haven't received an email invitation in a few minutes please send me a message via Patreon or Discord and I'll manually issue you one when I'm back awake!
