tl;dr - I've done my taxes for the year and wrapped up a Nobuko dildo scene for use when the shops are unlocked in the game.
This week's image
These images are just a test of some new assets I've been playing with that use Daz's relatively new dforce clothing simulation system. I might use them for a scene of some kind in the future because I think they look quite nice, though. What do you think?
Taxes
Well, I mentioned last week I was looking for an accountant, but I actually couldn't find one that suited me and the deadline was looming, so I just did my taxes myself. I'd had to put together so much information just to show the accountants that I'd already collected most of what I needed to do it myself anyway. I actually figured out that I probably could have been paying less tax in the last couple of years (oh, well) but it's good to have it all done and in the clear.
When my future project starts seriously making money (probably not this financial year) then I might need an accountant, but for now it doesn't seem to matter.
Toy scenes
I mentioned last week that I'd been working a bit on some new scenes for when shops and toys are introduced. I finished one of these scenes this week (a Nobuko dildo scene) and programmed it into the game, so that's nice to have done. I'd need to do a bit more work if I want to make the next release focused on the toy scenes, but I might do that since it would save me some crunch time. We'll see. Anyway, I think the scene's quite nice - it's got 11 pics plus variations on two interactive screens and I think they're mostly pretty good.
I have a couple of Shizu toy scenes in mind with most of the images done, but I'm having a little trouble writing them right now, so I might have to come back to those later.
Palmer has passed away
Honestly, I didn't know if I wanted to bring this up here, but those of you who have stuck with me since the days I made AIF games will probably know of Palmer from Love-Joint, the studio responsible for DfD and Double Homework. Palmer was also an AIF creator who went into Patreon and I worked with him for a little while as well. The main writer for Love-Joint's games, AW, used to be a long time collaborator with me and was involved with PAL, as well as helping me plan PAT.
Palmer passed away a little over a week ago and the news just came out a few days ago. Needless to say this was a huge shock and if you follow their campaign you probably already know, but as the team doesn't have control of the Patreon page they've had to start a new one and try to redirect the traffic over there and they've asked for help getting the message out. If you're a patron of theirs, please head to their new page here: https://www.patreon.com/lovejoint where AW and Ricky are taking over and are going to be completing Double Homework despite this loss of a friend and team leader.
So... anyway, on the topic of my post, what do you think of the new pics? Got an idea for what the scene could be that uses them? Let me know in the comments!
