Using the silk processor can help your Sim process the raw silk and dye it, so it can be sold on a higher priced or used in weaving (more on that when the loom is ready).
The Silk Processor can be found under 'Small Appliances' and it costs 500 simoleons.
There are two possible interactions on the Processor - 'Steam & Spin' which will process the raw silk into weavable high quality silk.
And 'Dye Silk' which will dye the silk in different possible colors.
Once processed and dyed the silk cost more than the raw silk.
However, the ingredients for using the silk processor are mandatory and cannot be replaced with money.

Hi so I've been doing the Ultimate decades challenge, and sadly this doesn't seem to work off the grid. Just a suggestion that could be added.
