This poll will be open through Saturday, November 22nd, and the winning album's episode will be posted on Monday, December 1st!
*Please remember that I'm only considering albums that contain songs I've previously covered on YouTube or Patreon. Requests have closed for this month, but will reopen on December 10th, 2025.

2025-11-18 20:16:10 +0000 UTCMark, I hope you donāt mind the unsolicited feedback, but after being a Patron for several months now Iāve noticed a trend with the polls for both song and full-album reactions, and I have an idea for how you can make potentially make them better: Would you consider experimenting with limiting the polls to a single genre instead of a collection of bands from several genres? The reason I think this could work better is because itās clear that, on Patreon at least, your audience heavily favors the pop/melodic punk and ska genres, and bands that are either signed to or in the orbit of record labels like Epitaph and Fat Wreck Chords. And thatās totally okāmusical taste is subjective, and everyone can and should like what they like. But the result is that these bands *dominate* every poll they appear in. So when theyāre pitted against bands from other genres, those other bands/genres just donāt stand a chance. But if you had polls separated by genre, other bands could win, and you could react to a more diverse range of genres. XTC is a good example: in your reaction you said that āMayor of Simpletonā had one of the best basslines youāve ever heard. XTC have an immense catalog of great songs and albums you could react to that would blow your mind (and your audienceās) just as much or more than āMayorā did, but if they appeared in polls against even the least popular Epi/Fat band of all time, they wouldnāt stand a chance of winning. I mean, just look at the votes in this monthās poll as an example: thereās no way that Drive Like Jehu is going to win when theyāre pitted against bands like The Flatliners or Rise Against. Itās so lopsided that itās almost pointless to even include them in the poll at all. But if DLJ were in a poll with similar bands like Unwound, Slint, Big Black, and Jawbox, itās anybodyās guess which band would win, but your audience would be the clear winners by having a real choice instead of the illusion of choice. Anyway, just my two cents. Curious what you think. Cheers!

It's not my style of music, but the album is musically very interesting. It was an incredibly influential album - vastly more than any other choice in this list. I'm still voting for Rise Against, but I just want Sunny to have some love as well.

2025-11-16 01:52:43 +0000 UTCYES my favorite Album of all time Rise Against RPM it has such a special place in my heart as it was the first album I ever fully listen to from track 1 to the last where I liked ALL of the songs and I don't find a single filler track and I wanted to show off this quote from this review from punknews of the album when it first came out "Hardcore without metal. Punk without pop. Emotion without the friggin' whining. While the band is clearly coming from a hardcore and punk background, it genuinely doesn't sound like anything I've heard. Many people have tried to blend punk and hardcore like this, but mostly we end up with the weakest bits of hardcore, and the weakest bits of punk, kind of mashed together. Instead, on "Revolutions..." we get an impressive sense of melody with a really visceral hardcore edge."

Was way too buried in hardcore at the time, but Iāll give it a chance cause I know they donāt just do the ska-punk thing anymore. And yeah, just getting real, real bored of all the Fat Wreck coverage. Need a hefty break. I was going SDRE but it doesnāt stand a chance yet.

2025-11-15 22:29:15 +0000 UTCNot to backpack off anyone else but yes: The Flatliners vs Rise Against is tough! I am sure Mark would enjoy both but I can see him gravitate more towards Cavalcade. There is no wrong answer between these two for me but I'm from Chicago and love 88 fingers louie and Rise Against's RPM is a classic. Somewhat biased. Gonna show my age here but remember Limewire, etc etc I downloaded the RPM demos, or bootlegs before I could get my hands on buying the release and knew right away this band was going places. Not to comment on - well I wish it was this album instead but, The Flatliners "The Great Awake" and RA's Sufferer and the witness would probably be even a harder choice. Either way I'm looking forward to this no matter who wins! But the Flatliners.....Just like that I still don't know!
