Speedrun Explained 47: Update 3; Speedrun Explained 48 & 49: Update 1

Hey all! Just a couple quick updates on the videos coming down the pipeline.

First is for the upcoming Portal 2 video. As a reminder, the video is covering the Any% (No SLA) category, and I actually just finished up with the draft script yesterday and sent it off to the runner for review. Hopefully should have it back to me by tomorrow to revise, and have the ball rolling on recording/editing early-mid next week. Not much else to say about this video as it comes along other than it's coming along smoothly! Much smoother than the Portal video considering how technical that one was compared to this one. The video will be out sometime in December.

Second is I'm excited to announce a new video on the docket for January, which will be a SASO speedrun of HITMAN 3 to wrap up the trilogy! Production for HITMAN 2 was honestly so smooth (as was for HITMAN (2016) so I decided to add the third to the schedule since I don't think it should be much of a hassle to make in addition to the other videos that are planned. I've already contacted the runner for the video and brought them on board, so it's full steam ahead on this one. This video will be out sometime in January.

And lastly is the first official update for the Control video that was chosen as a part of one of the polls here on Patreon. This run was part of a poll where I chose the runs to be included and you all voted on it, with the run originally being listed as an Any% run of the game. Well, I've reached out to the runner for the video and brought them on board, but I'm actually deferring to their expertise/knowledge on the game and changing the category from Any% to All Bosses. This makes the run around 15 minutes longer, but they felt that it's a better representation of the game as a speedrun, and thinks that it's a better category to show off the run. I've deferred to runners in the past on changing the category for the video (namely changing the Battle for Bikini Bottom video from an Any% run to 100%), and I think it's the way to go when the runner makes a compelling argument for it, which I find they did. So yeah, the run is now an All Bosses run as opposed to Any%! The runner is going ahead with recording the run for it, and hopefully I'll be able to shift focus to working on it after wrapping up production on Portal 2 and HITMAN 3 sometime in either late December or early January. This video will be due out sometime in February.
