Tessa Devlog - 02

Hey! How you're doing?

Welcome to the second Devlog of Tessa's Fate. As the release date is approaching (probably mid-September), I'm feeling a little bit stressed. I could easily publish the first release without putting too much effort into it, but I want you to experience a decent quality build. That is why I'm carefully taking care of all the details, no matter how small they are. Probably I'm falling into a perfectionist mood, but in the end, this game will be for you.

Ok! So let's review all the advances I've accomplished so far. Don't expect to see too much because in general, I've done a lot of iterative work.

- I refactored all the sprites animations so they can move smoother. Here you have some examples.

- I've layout the first level you will play. This level introduces you to all the basic mechanics of the game. It's a short level with a duration of 2-5 min. Here you have the draft I've made.

- I've corrected and still correcting minor bugs that hind the experience of the game.

- I've implemented keyboard and controller support.

- I've already designed a small tutorial for the game.


On what I will be working the next week?

- I'm shading the pixel art animations.

- I'm refactoring the enemy AI patrol behaviour. For the moment, it's a little bit broken.

- I'm connecting all the level rooms and implementing a system to unlock doors with keys.

Thanks, Steven. Right now I'm working on the drawing CGI for the lewd scene with the soldier. Tomorrow will be uploading the line art progress.

The Trial is promising it feels a little sluggish, as to be expected. Can't wait to see more. Great art direction!
