2021-06-15 08:58:09 +0000 UTCNo-one would care about her weight if JiHyo was not an Idol, but the Industry she is in, she was and still is being compared to every other Female Idol for Looks (including weight) You also have to keep in mind that JYPE have monthly assessments where weigh in's are part of it, JiHyo has been through a decade of the system so it's not as if she was unaware. However an even bigger problem was occurring in that none of the Main Vocals (Jiwon, Minyoung) or Dancers (Momo) were in the Top 7 for popularity. All 3 were contestants that JYPark wanted. Sixteen basically was the Show that turned it around for JYPE as it led to revamping the whole company and showed just how out of touch JYPark and JYPE were to the public

2021-06-06 22:46:49 +0000 UTCUntil now, it still amazes me how these girls managed to be this good and theyre just being trainees. My heart always go our for Minyoung tho. I get how internal pressure affects each of them and how much it hinders bringing out their potential but seeing them comfort each other regardless of being rivals on the show just makes me treasure each individual more.

I’ve only seen half of Sixteen so I’m looking forward to watching the latter half of the series for the first time along with you 😊

2021-06-06 12:44:25 +0000 UTCIt’s wild that the two power house singers in this ep being Jiwon and Minyoung struggle with confidence. I love Somi and I love where she has grown as a soloist but it Minyoung had half of Somi confidence she would’ve slayed. Can’t wait for next weeks ep. Sana is my bias, but Jihyo has her moment and just like chaeryeong this week would’ve been my bias if I seen 16 first. Looking forward to next week.

Her father is Dutch Canadian. She was born in Canada but grew up in Korea and that’s why in the first episode she was talking about people in school making fun of how she looked (due to her mixed heritage).
