Destiny's Spine Surgery

36 year old, Destiny Adams anxiously undergoes the pre-operative process until being greeted by her anesthesiologist.

After which...everything happened very quickly...

That night,

she'd awaken in the intensive care unit.

Kept there for additional monitoring and vital support.

Ms. Adams was undergoing an elective spine surgery, when late in the procedure she arrested and the OR team had to resuscitate.

circulation soon resumed and the procedure could be brought to a successfull completion.

When Destiny had the anesthesia mask put on her face for surgery, her doctor reassured her that everything would be fine and she didn't need to be so anxious. To just take a few deep breaths in and relax.

And even whilst during her elective and supposedly harmless operation, Destiny's vitals dropped and her heart stopped, the doctor had kept her promise.

Destiny would be kept on life support for a day until it was clear her condition had fully stabilized.

Soon after she'd be transfered.

And recovered with the support of her husband and children.

And despite the incident, the operation would proove to be a success and once the pain from the invasive procedure subsided, relieved Destiny's back pain singificantly.

Now she asks herself the question.

Was she rightfully nervous?

Is fear of the operating table rational?

I love the catheter. Wish I could see more.

Love to see the new monitors and ECG design fully in action And while nervousness and some fear of surgery can't be helped and there are always risks, there's no use dwelling on it too much imo. If you're in a situation where you decided you need a surgery, it's better to just face it for what it is and hope all goes well.
