What does it mean that beats are “broken"?
How to make DNB / jungle?
Let me show and explain.
I’m using Addictive Drums 2.
I’ll also do a Part 2 later, getting deeper with processing.
Will also put out some breaks as audio thru Patreon later.

Hi Tuomas, and welcome! That is the Modern Soul & RNB kit. Will want to try and do a video soonish where I take that sound a little further, mess with processing etc!

I often just put that shit on blast but probably could benefit from easing up a bit. lol. Looking forward to the next part on processing to see how you make that "fanu crunch"!

2020-10-05 13:32:54 +0000 UTCLove the idea of having some Fanu midi files to play with in AD2. I've been using it for a while, but more to add a layer to chopped breaks as I've struggled with getting anything organic sounding to come from AD2.

I find that it’s the ghostsnares and ghostkicks i dont really know how to do, so this tutorial where u went through the trouble of breaking a steady beat up like this was amazing for me. I have the XLNAudio XO which i use for discovering drums from my own Library which i have never even heard before, thanks to the way the plugin creates a point cloud of abt 100k samples i have that are drums rbut might look into buying AD2 just for the rnb funk multisamples which i have none of. Thanks for making this vid. I have wanted to pay someone to teach me the ”interim” beats==shadow drums. This was a massive step in the right direction
