Cass Con Update

Hey all!

Exciting news - we are one signature away from securing the venue in Brooklyn for Cass Con 2025. Assuming this all gets squared away in the next 24 hours, I will officially be putting up tickets for purchase either tomorrow or Friday!

I wanted to give everyone here some advance notice beforehand, so you know the scoop:

Logistics:

What to expect:

Ticket Logistics:

And - I have figured out logistics for a virtual attendance! Those tickets will also go live when the in-person tickets do.

Because the venue has capped the number of attendees at 100 and I'm not sure how quickly tickets will sell, I'll be posting the ticket sale link here within the next day or two, and it will remain patreon-exclusive for 48 hours. After 48 hours of the event going live, I'm going to post it on social media for the general public :)

Genuinely so thrilled about this! Can't wait to see everyone that's able to come, and if you aren't able to this year - who knows? If this goes well, there is a chance for more events like this in the future!

So when do these tickets go on sale? 😁

Blanca

Yay!!!!

Meg H.

Woo!! Can’t wait

AF

That sounds great!!! Waiting to hit the purchase button as soon as I know… my Patreon hates me and doesn’t send me any notifications 🤷🏻‍♀️

Chus Lerma

That does, thank you! However I now don't think we can come 😞 but I'll be buying virtual tickets at the very least!

Jess Bullock

For ease on my end of... well, preparing everything and trying to tailor the different tickets - I'm not sure. But what I can say is that you can absolutely feel free to essentially trade in the book for a different one? I'll have my back catalogue all there with me. So, if you/anyone has 2 people from the same household, you can feel free to have me sign any other copy of a different book to take home, instead of MR. Does this sound like a decent option?

Haley Cass

absolutely!!

Haley Cass

This all makes total sense! I don't know much about resale options right now, but I can say that - hypothetically - if you buy a ticket and you end up not being able to use it, that you can let me know? And if they sell out and other people want to come, I can do my best to facilitate something

Haley Cass

Ditto for me, I would cover shipping for MR too

Vesta Charleshouse

YES!!!! I can’t wait!!!!

Kayla Bhadra

I'm also not able to attend this one in person but was planning on buying a VIP ticket for signed book, raffle tickets and other swag. Also don't want to take away an in person spot for someone else who might be able to be there. Let me know if you come up with an option for something like Virtual VIP ticket. Maybe charge the same $80 for a Virtual VIP ticket and use the extra for shipping?

Robin M Lee

Same! I would pay more for the opportunity for a signed copy 😊

Tanya

Omg a virtual option?!?!?!? Yay!!!!

Tanya

I am soooo excited to attend! I also have major anxiety so I’m kinda relieved I have 4+ months to prepare myself 😅

Bridget

I was going to ask the same thing! 🙌🏻

Shelley

birthday Roadtrippppp in the works for me!! 💜

Megan Z

That’s a great question as I depend on airplane tickets and for sure won’t like to take the opportunity for someone else to go in person if I can’t do it at the end. Not money issue, more like feeling bad for taking one spot if I can’t make it 🤔🤔 Does it makes sense?

Chus Lerma

So excited!

Chris

If we purchase a ticket but then are unable to attend, will there be a resale opportunity (internally, of course) to transfer the ticket(s)? I'm still trying to figure out whether I can make an extended weekend work, as I would be coming from Washington state and am thinking about making it a CassCon & Broadway weekend for me.

Tina M

Can we bring books to be signed? I'm excited!!!

Meg H.

Y'all are setting me up for a full evening of CassCon 2025 strategizing :)

Monica McCallan

Very intrigued and excited by the art work!

Lauren

Excited!

Dani Roberts

Same question! I’m in the US, but won’t be able to attend in person. I would love the option for a signed MR copy! 🙂

JL

thank you soo much haley <3

el

I haven’t tried it for international shipping, but I used to ship a bunch of books and other small-ish packages through pirateship.com and saved a bunch of money with their commercial pricing, especially for usps, through them (you can use their commercial pricing as an individual).

JL

Eventually, yes. There is going to likely be a lull in time between when it will be available to buy from my website, because I have to wait to get my hands on the physical copies from amazon Essentially - I buy my own author copies from amazon, and it takes them weeks to get to me. Typically it can take a while to get more, after buying a bundle. So, I'll be buying enough to cover the event, and then will order more! ... I just have no idea when I'll receive them lol

Haley Cass

I will check in with the venue on this! I'm unsure if they will want everyone verified over 21 for entry, or if they will simply check at the bar. I'll clarify for you when tickets go live :)

Haley Cass

So exciteeeeeeed! I hope I can make it in person, but for sure give me a virtual ticket with merch!!

Chus Lerma

Question can people under 21 still enter if they don’t drink/come with a person over 21? (i live in brooklyn i’m desperate to get in and absolutely spend all my money at the event LOL)

el

I’d happily pay $100 too! So excited for all of this!

Lauren

Will there be a way to buy a ticket that doesn't include merch? My wife wants to come with me but we don't need two copies of the book. At least I don't think we do. It's fine if there isn't I just don't want to use up resources unnecessarily!

Jess Bullock

Thank you so much for including us virtual peeps! Would we order the signed copy of MR from your store? I’d happily pay more to have it included in another tier (as suggested by Monika)

Lauren

I'll discuss some logistics with Monica! Maybe will provide a few options for virtual ticket (to account for shipping prices). Love the feedback!!

Haley Cass

I would pay 100$ if it gets me the zoom and your signed copy

monika bjelcic

Potentially yes - however, international shipping for a book usually runs be about $50USD after the past year of prices raised at USPS... so honestly, it would likely bring the virtual ticket price to ~80USD to cover the shipping cost. If it's something you/others are interested in, I could potentially add it!

Haley Cass

Take my money.

Angelica

Would it be possible that the virtual ones have another tier that includes signed copy of MR?
