My injury and burnout
Added 2025-09-07 14:42:01 +0000 UTCAs some of you have learned, I got into an accident at work last Thursday and hurt myself. It's nothing serious, just bruised ribs and difficulty breathing. Doctor said nothing was broken but I will have difficulty sleeping and soreness for the next few days.
This has prevented me from writing the latest chapter of PoD as even now when I have the doc open and the entire chapter outlined, I can't focus on writing at all.
And it's not only because of my injury.
I won't lie folks; I'm feeling the burnout. Nearly two and half years of constant weekly updates has finally caught up with me. I always planned to put PoD on hiatus until Oda wrote more chapters so I can better plan my story, but this might be coming sooner than I expected.
It won't be today or next week, but expect a few more chapters before I officially put PoD on hiatus.
However, I have decided to take today (and technically yesterday) off so I can rest and focus more on AHM for Tuesday (or maybe it will be Wednesday? lol). PoD will be pushed to the end of the week, which sadly means that LitD will be pushed to the week after and the same for TAMS later on.
As an apology, I am opening access to my PJO/SW crossover story for all of my patrons. It's only the first chapter, and I doubt I will work on it any time soon, but I hope you will like it. You can find the story in the Collections Tab, tentatively named: A Storm in the Force.

2025-09-07 16:26:55 +0000 UTCUnderstandable! Both the injury & burnout. Take some days to relax for your injury. And I’m sure people will understand needing to put a story on hold for a while, happens with published authors all the time. So long as people know you’ll come back and finish the story, people will wait.

2025-09-07 14:56:48 +0000 UTCBelieve me, I have the ending planned for all of my stories. It's just my writing style that has me focus so much on the characters and the world they live in. My style is similar to Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time; I just like putting in all the details about things. It doesn't help that the digital writing format makes it so tempting to go deeper and deeper into the details as well. It's just so much easier to do so without a publisher hounding you or multiple rounds of editing. I'm sure if I ever go public, a good two thirds of all I write will be trimmed away and discarded, but for fanfiction? It's...different.

2025-09-07 14:46:09 +0000 UTCJust to many stories. A lot of them no over arching plot. Get clear concise direction 100k words is good for a book otherwise it’s too bloated and feels unimportant.
