They remind me of a Columbian family that moved into my 100% white, upper middle class neighborhood back in 1970 in Queens Village, NYC, NY I got to be really good friends with Jimmy (though he was gay and died of AIDS early in the epidemic), and I ended up dating his sister for a long while with a happier ending than Jake's and Michelle's . . . though not as nice as I'm hoping Owen and Tif will have. I also introduced Jimmy and Diana to black-capped chickadees. They're small, brazen little birds that have NO compunction about landing on your hand to take sunflower seeds!
