Added 2021-07-20 21:26:03 +0000 UTCThe images in the book will be black and white, with exception of the cover, but while drawing this little boy I realized I will get into creating cosmos in the pen and ink pieces, as well as symbols as simple as the 5-pointed star, with rich history like that of the Sumerians or the Serer religion in Senegal and its symbolizing of Sirius. (That's accidental near-alliteration : ) ) The mixed-race children of the slaves play a pivotal role in the novella but it's too soon to comment on how without it being a spoiler. Still, likely as I will be sharing all of the finished drawings here, you might be able to figure it out. This boy is in color only because the boy who posed for me this past Friday evening was wearing this color of a man's tank top, with his beautiful mother peeking out from behind him, and the image begged for color pencil. The cosmo like details I plan for the drawing will hopefully be a more sophisticated version of what I did some years ago of my parents, which I think you have seen before.
